Josh Cornell

I find this art piece very interesting. I realized while looking through Josh Cornell's art he tends to use a lot of birds. This piece really shows that side of him. I find the colors to be very peaceful and it has a very "at home" time of feel.

I think this piece is amazing ! Each box takes on a different theme but somehow they still correspond with each other. To me it represents life and the discovery of a universe.

Here is another piece that shows Josh Cornell's interest in birds. It reminds me a lot of the first picture because it gives off the same kind of feel.

Hero and Villain

For this project I had to choose a hero and a villain and create an art piece using the techniques learned in class. For both of these pieces I used the technique of stippling. Which means the picture is made entirely of little dots to create different shading and contrasts in the picture.

These images are of my villain, Sierra Kusterback from the band VersaEmerge. The top image is my rough draft and the bottom is my final. She is my villain, because both times that I met her she was very rude and rolled her eyes at me, and she was very un personable.

These two images are of my hero, Lisa Origliasso from The Veronicas.
The top image is my final and the bottom is my rough draft. Lisa is my hero because not only is she very talented, and I look up to her, but when I met her she was she was one of the sweetest people I have ever met.
